Raw history for old Kilmallock town provides essential readings on the social, political and family history of the Kilmallock area, including the towns of Charleville, Kilfinane and Bruff covering the important transition period of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The CD has an impressive collection of the occurrence of references to people from the region surrounding Kilmallock in newspapers, official documents, manuscripts and deeds.
Important records included are transcriptions of the Church of Ireland vestry books of Kilmallock (1777 to 1816) Kilfinane (1768-1830); and a large number of newspaper articles mentioning local people and places. The CD also contains many lists of names, indexes to the tithe applottment of the local parishes and index to the Griffith Valuation for the Kilmallock Union. It also has family trees for some local families. It is fully indexed and searchable.
